Magee Plastics Company, a premier manufacturer of thermoplastics and composites for the airline, rail, and other industries, is currently hiring for a Shipping Clerk position. Shipping Clerks must be able to pull, pack, and lift heavy packages throughout their shift (minimum of 50lbs). They must have good written and verbal communication skills to work with managers throughout the warehouse and employees on the floor. They must also work independently and remain organized to ensure packages are appropriately handled.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Scheduling shipments and planning logistics
• Preparing paperwork for shipments
• Reviewing invoices
• Packaging items and products
• Checking orders for accuracy
• Tracking and updating the status of shipments
• Operating warehouse equipment
• Organizing and cataloging inventory
• Documenting damages to inventory
• Troubleshooting shipping issues

Qualifications:

• Attention to detail.
• Promptness and reliability.
• Ability to read, write legibly, speak and understand English.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Capable of performing basic data entry.
• Ability to read and follow procedures.
• Skill at hand work and associated machinery.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team setting.
• Possess acceptable vision (with corrective lenses, as appropriate).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
